I just recently got this book about Indiana birds at the home school convention where it categorizes all the birds by color and it is very easy to use. Now when we see a bird we find it in the book to know it's name and other fun information. I just thought it would be a fun thing to do for the kids especially now that it is spring! I actually got the idea from a friend at Church whose girls are now experts on birds!
Home school Convention
We went to the Indiana Home Educator's conference just a few weeks ago but didn't have time to mention it much on here yet. It was our second time going and we had a wonderful time. I know that you are thinking she is only 3 (almost 4), but there is sooooo much home-school stuff out there that I am so glad that I started looking around early. It is quite amazing how much there is to choose from these days. I think I will enjoy teaching science/nature stuff the best because I love the hands-on stuff and I found myself being drawn to the science stuff. For example, this past Christmas I got Grace this tadpole habitat where she will be able to watch the tadpole grow into a frog. I just love that kind of stuff. Gene's parents watched the older kids so we got to enjoy time to ourselves like eating out at sit-down restaurants!!!!!! (I love eating out!) Plus, we got to spend time with other couples too which was a bonus!!

It's such a blessing to see your family as it grows. Your kids are so beautiful. You and Gene look great too!
I love the new hair. That is the length I am going for, with layers. Mine is at shoulder length right now. I am not going to get the layers until it's longer.
I wish we could see each other more. But it's nice to see what's going on.
