"How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord Almighty! My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord, my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God." Psalm 84:1-2

Slowing down a bit....

Being in the area where Gene grew up always seems to have this special way of slowing things down a bit! It is a small town surrounded mostly by cornfields where modern day suburbia has not yet touched. It is nice change of pace for us! Gene's parents have tractors, a big garden, fruit trees, plenty of room to run and good old fashion fun to be had!!

Gene and Dax checking out the soybean fields and Grace digging potatoes!

We picked tomatoes, peppers, green beans, carrots and potatoes! The kids got a kick out of getting vegetables from the garden and then eating them for dinner that night!!
(Pictures: Sorting potatoes on the left and Grace holding a carrot on the right)

Riding on just one of Grandpa's tractors.......
One of Gene's favorite things is sleeping there at night! He loves that they can keep the windows open all night, which allows the cool breeze to fill the house with fresh air!! We all had a really good time and enjoyed every minute of it!

It looks really beautiful there. I bet the kids had a blast. We are fortunate to live in the "country" so David gets to see cows and horses almost every day.

Great to see you had a good time!! I'm so mad I did not get your message till late Sun. Devin and I could have seen you Sun if you were still around. Maybe someday we can get out your way. If I can get David out of this town. HaHa!!

Beautiful!! It's so good to see Gene's parents. I haven't seen his mom since our wedding, and who knows how long since I've seen his dad. Maybe college sometime. It's great to see the land and house too. Just like I remember it from going to prom with Kurt his senior year.

Great pictures of Crawford County,Oh. Makes me miss home, you can't take the country out of me!! Glad you enjoyed it. Loved Grace's saying, how cute, she needs to get to the country more often. Take care.

Once again, you have a beautiful family! Isn't it so refreshing to get out and away from all of the city hype?! It looks like peace there!
