Rookie Run..........

Every year during the month of May for the Indianapolis 500 they have a event called Kid's Day on Monument Circle in Indy. They have fun games, lots of give aways and all kinds of fun stuff! They also have a non competitive rookie run for kids 3 and up. 3-6 years old run a 2 block course and they all receive a medal at the end. It corresponds with the Mini-marathon that Gene ran at the beginning of the month. Our kids think it's pretty cool to get a medal like Daddy!!

I ran with Dax because he was a little timid about doing it by himself for the first time! Grace ran it all by herself this year and loved it! She ran as fast as she could which was so cute! They both had alot of fun and enjoyed themselves.
