Sunflower update....

We know that they have outgrown the kids......
Now they have outgrown Gene!!!
These were taken on 7/28/2008, just a week ago
These are Moonshadow sunflowers which have creamy white petals and get 4 feet high!
These are Sunrise Sunflowers which have bright yellow petals and get 5 feet high!
These are Strawberry blonde hybrids which get 6 feet tall! We still have one set of sunflowers yet to bloom which are the really tall ones!

Here is a ripe tomato which we are getting daily now and a huge Zucchini that we picked the other day!
********************************************************************
The last variation of Sunflowers we have are called Mammoth and they will get 12 feet high!! Look how much they grew in just one week!! (compare it to the one at the top) They are reaching the second level of our house as you can see from the picture below!!
In this picture you can also see all four different variations at one time! Can you find Hayden in this picture?
There's Hayden! He loves to hide in the sunflowers!!

I love these photos! It has been fun to watch them grow. I can't get over how tall they are. I wish I had a green-thumb like you do! So far, I have been able to keep one indoor house plant, some basil and a few tomato plants alive. But I have yet to actually grown any tomatoes! Oh well. Maybe they will still come. It stays warm here until November :)
