"How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord Almighty! My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord, my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God." Psalm 84:1-2

Practice day at the track.....

One of the biggest Schmidt family traditions has always been the Indianapolis 500. It dates back to when my dad was a young boy selling newspapers at the track. We love the month of May and all of it's festivities!! My sister and I are experts when it comes to the rich history of the Indy 500!! We love it! My dad, sister and I took the kids to a practice day this past Thursday.

The bleachers were not much fun to keep track of the little kids, so we headed for the grassy viewing mounds. They had so much fun watching the cars go by and running up and down the hill.

Trying to keep little Hayden's ears protected from the loud sound of the engines going over 200 miles per hour!!

i just noticed Dax's hair is so much longer than the pic at the top of your blog!

We'll keep you in mind for future Indy visits. Maybe we could meet at Kurt and Kristin's and hang out for a while all together.

Yes, that's a great idea! We just might actually have the house painted by then. :)

Annie, I love the professional black and white photos! They are just timeless and will be a great memory to have later. I'm glad you had fun at the track, too.
