We ventured to Kings Island in Ohio yesterday on Gene's day off. It started out a little bumpy but we ended up having a blast anyway!! This picture (left) is right before it started pouring down rain!! They had just gotten on their first ride and it started sprinkling so Gene held the umbrella over them until it was time for him to leave. Right after he left it started pouring buckets of rain on them and all we could do was watch because we couldn't get back in yet and the attendant had to go around to release each set of kids with his key!! (very slowly I might add) We sat there with the fence separating us and our little babies crying, wanting out and shivering because they were getting soaked to the bones!! It broke my heart to see them and to feel so helpless that it brought tears to my eyes!!
Luckily, it was just beginning and I had brought extra clothes. We changed clothes and started our adventure again!
Grace really likes Dora and she thought it was pretty awesome to see her in person!! Again, I had tears in my eyes watching her be sooo excited to dance with Dora!! She is the one in pink dancing with her arms out!!
Doesn't Dax look so little in this picture next to Gene? I wasn't sure how Dax would react on rides but he loved them and wasn't scared one bit! In fact, he kind of fussed a couple of times when it was over because he didn't want to get off!
Grace and I riding a roller coaster and yes, I was a tad scared. Mostly, because with being pregnant for almost 3 of the last 5 years........ I wasn't able to ride them and I have now turned into a wimp!! Isn't Grace's hair and facial expression funny??
Getting soaked on purpose this time!! Hayden and I decided against getting soaked again! :) All in all, we had so much fun and to see my kids so excited and happy made my heart overflow with joy! Whether it was Grace seeing Dora Live for the first time with a smile as big as can be or seeing Dax experience his first big ride and his sweet contagious laughter............(sigh) It all brought tears to my eyes!! I just love being a mother and it is these sweet moments that makes it all the more worth it!! God has been so good to me! Thank you Lord for these precious Children!
