"How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord Almighty! My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord, my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God." Psalm 84:1-2

Friday's appointment and 37 weeks....

I hit term on Sunday (37 weeks) which basically means they would let me have the baby if I went into labor and that's exciting! I probably won't because I have never gone this early, but I guess you never know. I am usually as accurate as can be so don't expect me to make an announcement about going to the hospital until right around my due date August 31st! Just a little FYI... Grace was born on her due date, Dax was born 45 mins after his due date (but basically on it), and Hayden was born just two days before his due date! You see..... I am pretty accurate!

As for my appointment on Friday, everything is still looking good and measuring fine! I gained another 2 1/2 pounds and my BP was 98/62! My strep test was negative which is awesome because I don't have to arrive early for antibiotics like I did for Hayden's birth. (Plus, I don't have to be hooked up to an IV and I can roam around more easily) She said I was still 1 to 2 centimeters dilated but definitely working on getting close to a 2 or 3 and 60% effaced!

In other news, I do not look forward to sleeping because I am not getting much sleep these days because I am so uncomfortable. I also have to pee a thousand times a night which wakes me up constantly! I am pretty sore in the mornings and by night-time but during the day I usually can get around pretty good! I am having a ton of Braxton Hicks contractions which sometimes feel very real but again that is pretty normal for me at this point in the pregnancy! I am definitely getting excited about getting rid of this belly and having a baby to hold instead!!

I am just amazed that little you have gained 5 pounds in 2 weeks!!! Towards the end of both of my pregnancies (36.5 and 37.5 weeks) I wasn't gaining anything. Nothing significant at least.
Have you tried an air mattress? I was having a hard time sleeping when I was pregnant with Bekah, and I would always lay on air mattress while watching TV, but the night before my water broke at 36.5 weeks we took the mattress off the bed and put the air mattress on top of the box springs. I slept the whole night!! I didn't even get up to go the bathroom, until the 6 am when my water broke while I was on the toilet. :) You're almost there!!

I usually don't gain much the last few weeks either but I just haven't gained hardly any with this pregnancy! So it's a good thing!

Just thinking about you and wanted to say so. I love that you have the same due date I did with Avery. Avery and Asher could have the same b-day just a year apart. I hope all is well and I will be praying for you and your family. Can't wait to see the new baby!!
