"How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord Almighty! My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord, my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God." Psalm 84:1-2

Bird Sanctuary, Beach and Pier

On our third day in Florida, we decided to head to the Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary on the beach. We thought it would be educational and fun! It was pretty cool to check out all the different types of birds and to see the work they do there to save birds that are hurt!
After that we headed back to the beach to soak up some more sun!! I brought some dry bread that we had in our condo and let the kids feed the birds. Boy, do the birds come when they know you have food!! They came in flocks!!

They weren't aggressive in anyway so that was good and the kids thought it was pretty cool how they came so close!
We could even throw the bread up in the air and the birds would swoop down to catch it!

Hayden chasing the birds away......

Later that night, after dinner, we headed to the St. Petersburg Pier. It was pretty awesome to see the lights of the city at night from the Pier!! It was just beautiful!
The only sad part was that as we were driving through St. Petersburg, we saw lots of homeless people which was heartbreaking. Oh, how I wish we could have been more prepared and had something to give them. All I know is that the next time we go on vacation we will be prepared for God to use us in these opportunities! I'll probably write more on this later!
