"How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord Almighty! My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord, my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God." Psalm 84:1-2

Conner Prairie....

The kids dressing up in pioneer clothes
For school we are learning about United States history, so we decided it would be fun to go to Conner Prairie to show the kids what it was like to live in the old days!
It's a interactive history park, where it history truly does come alive! As you walk around, you are transported back in time! Everything that is done in the park is historically correct and even the volunteers are characters from the old days!
It's pretty awesome!
Asher building stuff at a workshop!
The kids checking out the chickens!
We encountered this man cooking chicken over an open fire!
The woodworker was making a real rifle out of wood!
He also let Grace see how heavy it was by holding it!
We helped picked beans with this young man!
Checking out the pottery area!
We also got to hold baby chicks!!
Hayden enjoyed trying out a saddle in the little kid's area!!
It was so much fun to see the kid's view of history come alive!! It's one thing to read about it but another to actually experience it!! We can't wait to go back!!

That looks like so much fun and what a fun place for a homeschooling family to go on a field trip.
